I think the gearbox could be smoother-Perhaps an ATF change too as I can't believe that the supplying dealer did actually change the ATF because at the last service they said they changed the combination filter and didn't, and judging by the state of it and the manufacturing date of the old filter they didn't and lied about it in the service before that too. Click to expand.I'm not really making a comment to Alfie even if I quoted the above, just continuing a bit from there: The average workshop/mechanic would not update any control unit unless the question is about an update that the diagnosis tool insists and would not allow further work before the update is done. I'm not familiar with the terminology, perhaps this is service measures as BlackC55 explained. In this case the fix should not only be free but the owner should be compensated for a quality issue! I'd be tempted to claim the majority of workshops do not update control units irrespectively if the car is covered by warranty or not. Training material text may say this or that but the practise appears to be different (private diagnosis tool owners have some statistics, not only speculation).

Ecu w211 Although not knowing how to use the search button, I found that most links were for tuning companies that would do it for me. No thanks I want to do it myself even if I wreck my car. Secondly search on here showed me 0 results, even just with ecu w211 search.
I have a simple question and just want a simple answer: I am not asking if/how to learn search I did, I joined MBworld, benzworld and few others. What I am looking for: Best software for ECU tuning: (especially mercedes) to download my ECU files, MOD and reupload it into the ROM Hardware required for tuning: Laptop??? OBD to USB cable?? Anything else?
A nagging wife? Files for ECU modding/tuning: wich website or what program has the best or a few collections of ECU modified files. Not really in the mood for bs answers. First off I'd like to say that 'tuning' a cdi is tricky at best. What are your goals?
